This Privacy Policy explains how Akkir (operated by JoostechMedia) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Akkir Radio app, Alexa skill, website (akkir.com), or any related services.
When you register on akkir.com or in the Akkir Radio app we collect your name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash — never in plain text), and optionally your country.
When you use the Alexa skill we do not collect or store any personal information. The skill streams audio directly from our servers to your Alexa device.
When you use the live chat feature we collect the message content and your display name in order to display it to other users. Chat messages are stored temporarily (rolling buffer, last 50 messages) and are not linked to your account.
We use your email address to authenticate your account and, if you request it, to send a password reset link. We use your country (if provided) to count the number of countries reached by Akkir Radio. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Account data is stored securely in Cloudflare KV (a globally distributed key-value store). Uploaded audio files are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS.
The Akkir Radio website uses a session token stored in your browser's localStorage to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use anonymous analytics to understand how the site is used.
If you submit a track for airplay consideration, your submitted audio file and associated metadata (artist name, genre, track title) are stored in Cloudflare R2. Files are reviewed manually and either approved for broadcast or rejected. You will be notified by email of the outcome.
Akkir Radio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
